The film, directed by Robert Rodrigues in cooperation with Ethan Maniquis, is a great mix of crime, action and thriller, telling a story of blood revenge.

Machete is a former Mexican federale, who moves to Texas after clashing with a local drug lord Torres, who left Machete for dead. Hoping to forget his dramatic past, the main hero faces with corruption on the streets of Texas.

A certain Benz hires Machete to kill a local corrupted senator called McLaughlin. During the operation Mexican finds himself drawn a bead on. Heaving cheated death, Machete gets to know, that he was crossed up by his hirer. Humiliated and wounded, the main hero is planning to revenge upon his offenders.  With the help of sexy and rebellious Luz; Padre, who is equally good with prayers and guns and immigrations officer Sartana Rivera, Machete is on the warpath, ready to shed blood like water in his fight for justice…

“La Soga” is a criminal drama from filmmaker Joshua Crook, known by the films “Rockaway” and “Salvage”. The main hero of the film is Luisito, a disgraced policeman from Dominican Republic. As a kid he lost his father, who was murdered in cold blood by a drug dealer Rafa. An honest butcher, the father was always a good example for his son, and his death became a real tragedy for the boy. Luisito swore to revenge for his father’s death.

In decades Luisito becomes an officer of the secret police, the main goal of which is to confront the crime in Dominican Republic and fight against the corruption of the government.

There was somebody else in his childhood, whom Luisito couldn’t forget – the beautiful girl Jenny, whom he was infatuated with. He lost touch with her long ago, as she moved to New York soon after Luisito’s father was killed. Now Jenny comes back to Dominican Republic, and the feelings of beloved are stronger, than ever before. But Luisito has to find the way how to tell Jenny about his secret work, unless nothing serious is possible between them.

Unfortunately for Jenny and Luisito, the things get worsened when the secret police faces the betrayal, which comes to a dramatic confrontation…
