The film, directed by filmmaker Robert Schwentke, tells the breathtaking story of four former CIA agents, who one day become top targets for the Agency. The reason is that each of them knows too many secrets, which the Agency wants to bury together with them. Frank and his old buddies Victoria, Marvin and Joe reunite to confront their pursuers, whose mission is to kill those, who know too much. The team of former agents has to use all their skills and experience to survive in this struggle.
Besides their own compromised identities and lives, the main heroes of the film have somebody else to lose. The lives of their closed ones depend now on their mastery to survive. The brave team of former CIA agents will have to do impossible to stop the operation of Agency against them. But for that they will have to uncover the great cover-ups and conspiracies of the government – ones of the biggest in the history.
The film stars unsurpassed Bruce Willis in the role of Frank as well as other prominent actors and actresses: Helen Mirren as Victoria; John Malkovich as Marvin and Morgan Freeman in the role of Joe. The plot of the film is taken from the graphic comics “Red” by Warren Ellis.
